We have our Annual Club championships being held on the 5-7th of September at our Dumfries Facility. This competition will be a relaxed, fun event with the emphasis on participation and enjoyment for all gymnasts, Entry is optional. Over the next few weeks gymnasts will be practicing their routines for the competition, which will be sent home with them. The gymnasts will perform a floor routine and 2 vaults in front of the judges. There will also be prizes up for grabs for our number competition, where the gymnasts will decorate their number and the judges will select the best decorated at random. The theme for this will be chosen nearer the competition date. You will also receive your time slot once the programme has been finalised. This will let you know what time your gymnast will be competing and the time of their presentations. This means you will not need to be there all day, just at your allocated time slot. Gymnasts can wear any leotard of their choice or clothes suitable for gymnastics – e.g. shorts and T-shirt. No jewellery should be worn when competing and hair tied back. The gymnasts will receive a competition certificate the end of their competition. There will also be a tuck shop available on the day, where you can purchase drinks and snacks. We will also hold a Tombola so we are kindly asking for any donations to be handed in at the club – this is always appreciated. ENTRY FEE: Gymnasts - £15.00 Spectators - £3.00 (payable at the door) 0AP/children - £1.50 (payable at the door) The closing date for entries will be 9:00am on Monday 25th of August. There will be no refunds available once you have entered the competition. You will receive more information about the timings for the day and which round your gymnast will be competing in, after the closing date and we can then create a programme.
